The two Intercultural Studies programmes offered at SBC (ie., GDIS, MAIS) equip God’s people to meet the challenge of missions in the 21st century. Contemporary missions training requires integration of cross-cultural awareness, development issues, creative-access approaches, and the unchanging truth of the Bible applied in specific contexts.
It is critical that those who go to the field and those who stay behind to support them are shaped by the same concepts and values. Thus, this programme provides solid theological foundations for mission, combining cutting-edge missiological thinking with practical application. These are in addition to conventional equipping in theology and Bible, as well as spiritual formation with a focus on fulfilling the Great Commission.

Endorsement by church leadership
Completion of 33 credit hours (GDIS) or
65 credit hours (MAIS) of studies including field education
